Plan Your Visit

Where to find us

We’re located on the corner of Ivanrest and 30th, just south of 28th St. There’s plenty of parking along the side and rear of the building. Come on in through the doors facing 30th Street. See you there!

What Happens During The Service?

We will sing a few songs in the beginning, followed by a prayer and welcome. We shout out a few quick announcements and then take a break we call half time! It’s an extended time of greeting each other, grabbing a coffee refill and cookie.

After that is the teaching time where we dig into God’s word together. We wrap it up with another song and a blessing. The whole thing takes about an hour. We are really good at sticking to that time, especially with our kids sitting in worship with us.

Come As You Are

God meets us where we’re at so we like to keep it real at Canvas Church too. Come whether you know what you believe or aren’t sure, whether you feel like you have it all together or your life is falling apart.

And wear what makes you comfortable — jeans and tee, shirt and tie, jammies, shorts in summer, whatever!

If it’s hard for you to believe in church anymore, it’s okay…come because you believe in God. Hope to see you soon…we will save a seat for you!

What About My Kids?

CanvasKids is a safe space for our younger friends to hang out during the part of our service with lots of talking. During our break for Half Time, parents and guardians can check their kids into CanvasKids where they will be taught the Dwell lesson and have some fun playtime. Our system is simple with a sign-in/out sheet and name tags. Please let a volunteer know if your child has an special needs. No food is served in our Canvas Kids space. A nap space is available for sleepy kids if desired.

Core Values

Humble Curiosity

It turns out that humans are pretty limited. The longer you’re around, the more you realize you don’t know everything. For us, that inspires us to follow our curiosity, humbly searching for more.

Courageous Grace

We believe we were created for community, but humans are so…human. Following Jesus teaches how to find the courage to extend grace to each other and ourselves. By holding on to community, we are holding onto one of God’s greatest sources of grace in our lives.

Rich Diversity

You belong to God. You are made to look and act like God. You belong in community. Yes, even you, regardless of your orientation, culture, ability level, & story. You belong here.

Persistent Hope

If we’re honest, it’s hard to hold on to hope. We have much better models for critique and cynicism. In Jesus, we are given a new model for hope, not one that is optimistic or dismissive, but a consuming vision of the Kingdom of God that we get to be a part of here and now.
